Here and there one still sees a wreath or some twinkling lights, but for Christians around the world, the season of Lent will soon be arriving and preparations have already begun in most churches. Lent is the season of our next Christian Service project, Towel Sunday. A tradition of over 50 years in our parish, we once again reach out to those in need. In the next few weeks I will be finalizing the list of requested items and set up collection dates and, of course, asking for volunteers to sort, count package and deliver our collection.

Please take some time now to think and pray about how you may use the opportunity to deepen your faith during the season of Lent. Please feel free to contact the Faith Formation Director in the parish office if you have any questions in regards to this parish project.

Have you received Baptism and Eucharist but not Confirmation? A 6 week course preparing adults for confirmation will begin following the celebration of Easter. The one night a week program meets at St. Kateri and is open to all Catholics wishing to complete this Sacrament. If you or someone you know wishes more information, please contact the Faith Formation Director in the parish office.

Sacramental Preparation classes resume this Monday, January 15th At 6 PM in the parish hall.

Prayers and blessings to you and yours,
Grace Lakatos
